Organic farm founded in 1991 by Sandra and Ulisse, a Swiss couple in love with Tuscany. Located 5km from Pienza, between Monticchiello and the Val d'Orcia. Organic produce: pecorino and raw milk cheeses, extra-virgin olive oil, organic wines (Sibilla white, Antiope rosé, Fante & Regio reds), honey, saffron, ancient grains. Panoramic farm-to-table restaurant with views over Pienza and Monte Amiata — one of the most photographed in the Val d'Orcia. Visitable cheese dairy, biodynamic kitchen garden, free-roaming animals (sheep, goats, donkeys, peacocks, hens). Cooking classes with Sandra, farm tours, organic picnics, agricultural camping. Son Michael runs the restaurant. Tasting menu 60€/person, 75€ with wines.




Podere Il Casale was born from Sandra and Ulisse's dream of living in harmony with the rhythms of nature, producing wholesome and healthy food since 1991. Nestled in the hills of the Val d'Orcia, they built an organic farm now passed on to their son Michael, who carries on this farm-to-table philosophy with passion. Every product — cheese, oil, wine, honey, saffron — tells a story of respect for living things and the Tuscan land.
Spring and autumn to enjoy the Val d'Orcia landscape in bloom or in full colour, and for the harvests (olives, saffron, grape harvest). Summer is ideal for farm camping and organic picnics on the terrace.
Podere Il Casale is itself a producer: pecorino and raw-milk cheeses from their own sheep and goats, organic extra-virgin olive oil, organic wines (Sibilla, Antiope, Fante, Regio, Asso), coriander and thistle honey, saffron, ancient grains, artisanal pasta and Tuscan grappa — a fully integrated farm-to-table supply chain.
