Hidden in southern Bahia, in a small fishing community at the 17th parallel called Corumbau — which means 'far from everything' in Pataxó language — Vila Naiá is a beachfront slow living casa hotel immersed in a preserved natural reserve of over 50,000 m². Voted by Condé Nast Traveller among the world's best beach hotels for its authentic way of combining local simplicity with contemporary refinement of international standards. Every element handcrafted in fine tune with the environment, respecting Corumbau's fishermen culture. Houses and common spaces built with reclaimed woods, incorporating concepts and techniques used by local fishermen. Gardens use native species. Long wooden walkways suspended just centimeters above ground interconnect all hotel areas. Award-winning architecture fully integrated with nature. Simple materials mix with design pieces. Total privacy — you receive a walkie-talkie on arrival to request anything anywhere on the property including at the beach. Located on an extensive, almost deserted beach with soft white sand and calm crystal-clear waters. Perfect for slow travel, romantic getaways, honeymoons, digital detox, wedding events. Access via Porto Seguro (BPS) airport + 2h30 transfer OR via Prado + boat. Best months: October to April (dry season, warm waters).

Vila Naiá was born from the conviction that authentic luxury arises from harmony with nature and respect for local communities. Every element of the hotel has been handcrafted to minimise impact on the ecosystem, using reclaimed wood and techniques inherited from the fishermen of Corumbau. Here, slow living is not a marketing concept, but a way of life rooted in the Pataxó culture and the wild beauty of the Bahian coastline.
