Farouche is an exceptional nature sanctuary located on the wild slopes of Mont-Tremblant, in the Laurentian boreal forest at Lac-Supérieur (Québec, Canada). Just 1.5 hours from Montreal, the estate spans 135 acres between the Rivière du Diable and the mountains, offering privileged and exclusive access to a preserved wilderness. Farouche offers two unique accommodation formats: 7 upscale A-frame cabins set directly on the Rivière du Diable (each independent with complete privacy), and the new Repère du Fermier — a spacious suite on the 2nd floor of the farm building, with a kitchenette and ensuite bathroom, opening onto the market gardens (accommodates up to 6 people). Neither camping nor a hotel: something else entirely — a characterful refuge where nature guides the experience. Detached bathrooms just steps away (private or semi-private) for the cabins. Authentic farm-to-table: a refreshment bar with a buffet breakfast each morning prepared with the day's harvest from the on-site market garden, a seasonal sunset aperitif (charcuterie, housemade gravlax, farm crudités, natural wines, local microbrewery beers, 100% Québécois cocktails), and custom-composed picnics. Daily participatory harvest: at 2:30 PM, a team member accompanies guests to the gardens for picking (minimum $20 vegetables/person). Farouche signatures: red cedar Nordic bath with relaxation platforms and private river access, evening fire in front of each cabin, trails, riverside relaxation platforms, chickens and market gardens. Outdoor activities: paddleboard, electric bike/fat bike, mountain hiking, fishing, foraging, ski-hok, snowshoeing. Northern lights possible. Nordic and local boutique open to passersby (Terroir Laurentides, local beverages). Ideal for couples on a romantic getaway, families with children, friends, groups/retreats/workshops, and day visitors. Mews system for reservations. Open 4 seasons.

Farouche was born from a simple conviction: to slow down in nature without giving up on what truly matters. The estate roots itself in the rhythms of the seasons, the gardens, and the river, offering a quiet luxury grounded in simplicity, natural materials, and a deep connection to the Laurentian land. Every detail — a well-tended fire, the day's harvest, locally sourced products — is crafted so that nature genuinely guides the experience.
Open all four seasons: summer for the river, paddleboarding and gardens in full harvest; autumn for boreal colours and sunset aperitifs; winter for ski-hok, snowshoeing and the northern lights; spring for the rebirth of the Laurentian forest.
The refreshment bar offers natural wines, beers from local microbreweries in the Laurentides and cocktails crafted exclusively from Québec spirits and ingredients. The vegetables, herbs and eggs come directly from the estate's market garden and hens. The nordic boutique showcases the farm's artisan products, the terroir of the Laurentides and locally crafted beverages.
