Opplev Auna is a unique family farm stay on the historic Vågaunet peninsula (locally known as Auna) in Hellandsjøen, on the beautiful coast of Trøndelag (Norway). Since 2020, Hege Kalland and Daniel — along with their three children, a flock of alpacas, rabbits and hens — have lovingly restored this exceptional coastal farm where humans have lived for several thousand years, as evidenced by prehistoric findings and numerous protected cultural monuments (fredete kulturminner). Their vision is documented and explicit: We want people to take a break from a stressful everyday life and connect with nature. Find the simple joy in what nature has to offer. Opplev Auna proposes 4 unique experiences: (1) Glamping in Glass Igloos — sleep in the Auna Eye iglo perched high with breathtaking views over sea, mountains and archipelago, one of Norway most iconic glass igloo experiences; (2) Alpaca Farm — meet these gentle, fascinating animals, possibly hand-feed them, take selfies, and join alpakkavandring (guided alpaca walks) for private groups or companies; (3) Sauna by the Sea — relax in the wood-fired sauna barrel (vedfyrte badstutønne) at the waters edge, complete the experience with a refreshing sea bath; (4) Fjøset (The Old Barn) — part of the historic farm s old cow barn has been recently transformed (with funding from Innovasjon Norge) into a modern dining hall, toilet/shower facility, kitchen, and small farm shop (gårdsbutikk), available for private and corporate hire. Setting exceptional: between fjell (mountains), hav (sea) and skjærgård (archipelago). Ideal for couples romantic Nordic escapes, families with children who love animals, honeymoons, corporate retreats and team building, solo travellers seeking digital detox and Nordic wellness, farm-life enthusiasts.

Hege and Daniel acquired the historic farm of Vågaunet (Auna) in 2020, on the coast of Trøndelag, to create a place for reconnecting with nature. Their vision is clear: to offer visitors a break from the stress of everyday life, to rediscover the simple joys of nature — the scent of the sea, the song of birds, the silence. They share this living place with their three children, alpacas, rabbits and hens, continuing millennia of human life on this listed site.
Open year-round; summer brings sea swimming and long Nordic evenings, while autumn and winter invite you to enjoy the waterside sauna in a cosy Arctic atmosphere.
The farm features a gårdsbutikk (farm shop) offering products from the estate, with farm animals (alpacas, rabbits, hens) raised on site.
