An Anglo-Portuguese family estate of 330 acres (135 ha), owned by the same family for 5 generations since the mid-19th century. Located on the foothills of the Serra d'Ossa, 35km from Évora. Robert Reynolds planted the first cork oaks to supply the Port wine industry. Today: internationally award-winning wines (Cem Reis Syrah), cork oak forest, olive trees, sheep farming, free-ranging Iberian black pigs in autumn/winter. Corktrekking activities: hiking, 4x4 tours through the cork forest, wine tastings, ornithology, stargazing, Alentejo gastronomy. Alentejo Tourism Award 2017. RNAAT N.º 699/2016.

For five generations, the Reynolds family has cultivated this Alentejo herdade in harmony with nature, carrying forward the legacy of cork oaks planted in the 19th century. Our commitment is to produce award-winning wines and terroir products in absolute respect for the soils, biodiversity and ecosystems of the Serra d'Ossa. We invite our guests to discover this living heritage through authentic experiences of Corktrekking, birdwatching and Alentejo gastronomy.
Spring (April-June) for hikes through the flowering cork forest and birdwatching; autumn (October-November) to observe free-roaming Iberian black pigs and take part in the grape harvest.
The herdade produces its own wines (including the Cem Reis Syrah), olive oil, and raises sheep and Iberian black pigs (porco preto) free-range on the property, following an ultra-short supply chain philosophy.
