Quinta da Salada is a family-run charming Rural Tourism project located in the parish of Cambres, municipality of Lamego, in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region — part of the area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With approximately 8 hectares of vineyards, the property offers an authentic retreat just 3.5 km from the town of Peso da Régua and 6 km from Lamego. The accommodation unit was born from the recovery and renovation of the old Casa dos Caseiros, now transformed into a charming space with 6 rooms (Superior Room + Standard Room) and an outdoor swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests. The entire property is private access, exclusive to guests, ensuring tranquillity, privacy and a true immersion in the Douro landscape. The Quinta also features a historic chapel, a traditional kitchen, a barrel cellar (Sala das Barricas), a Wine Bar and various outdoor spaces for relaxation and socialising. Intentionally set apart from conventional and mass tourism, it favours a serene and authentic approach in communion with nature, the region and its people. Unique experiences include: massages in the Sala das Barricas (surrounded by the vineyards), wine tastings with views over the Douro Valley, picnics with local products among the vines, participation in the grape harvest (September–October), cycling tours, and interaction with the quinta's friendly donkeys (perfect for families). Dining: Sabores da Tarde (light meals with regional products and seasonal ingredients prepared fresh) + Dinner Menu Tabuleiro for Two (April–October, simple and healthy cuisine). The quinta invites its guests to a deep immersion in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed wine-growing landscape, through experiences rooted in the terroir — wine tastings, harvests, picnics among the vines and encounters with the estate's donkeys. The accommodation was born from the restoration of an old sharecroppers' house, reflecting a deep attachment to built heritage and the transmission of local know-how.
How to get here without a car
When to visit?
The quinta is particularly vibrant from September to October during the harvest (vindimas), but welcomes travellers from April to October for the « Menu Tabuleiro » dinner and outdoor activities; spring and summer offer a golden light over the Douro vineyard terraces.

The meals offered (Sabores da Tarde and Jantar Menu Tabuleiro) are prepared using regional products and seasonal ingredients, reflecting the authentic flavours of the Douro terroir and the Lamego region.
