Just three private safari lodges on site - no shared spaces, no crowds, just a quiet uncrowded setting designed for slower easier stays. Each lodge is completely private with its own wood-fired hot tub, indoor bathroom, outdoor space and everything included for an easy stay. Off-grid sustainable design documented explicitly: NO MAINS GAS OR ELECTRICITY used; safari-style canvas lodges lit with SOLAR POWER, heated with sustainable wood-fired stoves + LPG gas. Three unique lodges: (1) Horsecombe Lodge - best for couples and smaller family stays, unique copper wood-fired hot tub with countryside views; (2) Lime Kiln Lodge - best for families, beautifully designed with private wood-fired hot tub; (3) Grisway Lodge - larger safari lodge best for groups and larger stays. Ideal for couples romantic escapes (Horsecombe with copper hot tub), families with children (Lime Kiln), groups of friends or larger family gatherings (Grisway), no-car eco travellers from London using Castle Cary train + bicycles, urban dwellers seeking to escape city and recharge, wellness seekers under the stars in wood-fired hot tubs. The site is home to just three private safari lodges, preserving the peace of the surroundings and minimising the impact on Somerset's rural environment. Car-free travellers are warmly welcomed, with transfers available from Castle Cary station and bicycles provided to explore the local area.
