Le Grand Chalet Paradou is a warm and comfortable wooden chalet, nestled in the heart of nature in the Semoy valley. Classified and certified, it accommodates up to 6 people for a restorative stay among forests, hiking trails, and local discoveries.
The chalet is located at the foot of the Trans-Semoysienne, a greenway ideal for walking or cycling. Two bicycles are available for guests to explore the surroundings or reach nearby shops.
The stay is also accessible without a car. It is possible to arrive on foot from Bogny-sur-Meuse train station, with approximately one hour of hiking to complete the journey, or to combine train, bus, and bicycle from neighbouring stations.
Approximately 10 minutes on foot, a canoeing site offers the opportunity to discover the valley along the water. Thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts can also take advantage of nearby climbing opportunities.
Le Grand Chalet Paradou is thus an excellent base for exploring the Ardennes at nature's pace, with a focus on walking, cycling, and outdoor activities.

Treat yourself to a moment of pure relaxation in this warm and welcoming room, featuring a spacious 160 × 200 cm bed, an Emma mattress and hotel-quality pillows, for nights of exceptional comfort. Upon waking, enjoy direct access to your own little covered terrace, furnished with a charming pine table. The perfect spot to savour a peaceful breakfast, breathe in the fresh country air and ease into the day, nestled in the heart of the Semoy valley.
Sandrine and her team designed Chalet Paradou as an ecotourism project rooted in the Semoy valley: encouraging car-free travel through available bicycles and an exclusive hiking guide starting right from the chalet, while embracing concrete everyday actions (pellet stove, water and energy savings, sorting, composting, local eco-friendly products). Their ambition is to help guests discover the Ardennes at a slower pace, close to nature and local treasures, in the belief that responsible tourism begins with simple choices and a genuine care for the environment.
The chalet is a year-round retreat: a blooming spring, a lush summer for canoeing and cycling, a blazing autumn for hiking, and a cosy winter curled up by the pellet stove.
The cleaning products used are ecological and locally sourced; organic herbal teas are available for guests. Breakfasts can be booked nearby, approximately a 10-minute walk away in season.
