Casa Agrícola da Levada is an eco-friendly accommodation located on the banks of the Corgo river, in Vila Real.
We have been a tourism business since 1992, offering 5 rooms and 9 independent houses. We are registered as Tourist Accommodation under registration nº TER: 7124. Since 2019, we have held the ABAE Green Key ecological certification.
We are nestled among forests, streams, terraced gardens, vineyards and orchards. The scents of the earth, vegetation and fruit accompany our guests as they explore the surroundings on foot or by bicycle. The property is a true larder that nourishes our family and our visitors, as well as an entire ecosystem of insects, birds and other animals that form part of the biosphere.
Spanning 7 hectares nestled between the Douro Valley and the Alvão Natural Park, our property is the largest private green space within the urban perimeter of Vila Real.

For more than thirty years, Casa Agrícola da Levada has cultivated a vision of hospitality deeply rooted in respect for the land and its natural cycles. Our 7-hectare biodynamic estate, a carbon-negative territory, is a living sanctuary where wildlife, vineyards, orchards and forests coexist in harmony. We believe that an authentic stay is found in reconnecting with nature, living food and the ancestral traditions of the Douro.
How to get here without a car
When to visit?
Spring and autumn to enjoy the grape harvests, blossoms and mild temperatures; summer is ideal for long sunny days and maximum solar energy; winter offers an intimate atmosphere with wood fires and the serenity of the Douro valley.
Local producers involved
The property itself grows its own fruits, vegetables, aromatic herbs and grapes according to the principles of biodynamic farming, without chemical fertilisers for over twenty years. Breakfast is made up of homemade organic products and locally sourced produce from the Vila Real and Douro region.
