Certified Green Key and part of the Vinho Verde Route, this estate has been fully committed to sustainable herbicide-free farming since 2015. Nine charmingly themed rooms with sweeping views of forested mountains, vineyards and the river below. Organic wine cellar and tasting room, natural pool, free bikes (Bikotel member), canoeing, fishing, sauna & hammam. Days begin with homemade jams and juices on the terrace.

Nestled among the lush terraces along the Tâmega, Quinta das Escomoeiras embraces a way of life rooted in respect for nature, with an organic wine estate certified Green Key since 2015. The family welcomes its guests like old friends, sharing homemade jams, local wines and the finest flavours of the Minho terroir. Here, slowness and authenticity set the pace, from the kitchen garden and farm animals to cycling adventures and canoe trips along the river.

When to visit?
Spring and autumn to enjoy the grape harvest, cycling trails and mild temperatures; summer is ideal for canoeing and the natural swimming pool.
Local producers involved
The estate produces its own Vinho Verde AOC wines, artisanal jams and aromatic herbs grown without herbicides. Farm products are available at the estate shop.
