The host's philosophy
The Schäferwagenhotel Wildberg was born from a local Förderverein's passion for pastoral tradition and the nature of the Black Forest. Our vision is to offer an authentic disconnection experience, in harmony with the Nagold river, the surrounding forests and meadows. We believe that slowing down, living simply and reconnecting with natural rhythms is in itself an ecological act.
How to get here without a car
When to visit?
Open from April to October, ideal in spring and summer to enjoy the Nagold river, forest hikes and the famous Wildberger Schäferlauf (shepherds' festival) held every two years in July.
Local producers involved
The site mentions an optional breakfast and ties with the Demeter-Hof (Unterer Berghof), a nearby Demeter-certified farm that also offers accommodation in shepherd's wagons and embodies the values of local organic farming.
