La Grotta dei Cervi is an exceptional archaeological site located in Porto Badisco, near Otranto in Puglia (Italy). Discovered in 1970 by a group of speleologists, it is considered one of the most important collections of Neolithic rock art in Europe. It is renowned for its thousands of pictograms created approximately 4,000 to 6,000 years ago, depicting human scenes, animals — most notably deer — as well as abstract and ritual symbols.
Nestled in the wild bay of Porto Badisco, just a stone's throw from the famous neolithic Grotta dei Cervi, the agriturismo Grotta dei Cervi invites its guests to reconnect with unspoiled nature and a thousand-year-old history. Here, the sound of the wind and the sea replaces the noise of everyday life, and each day unfolds at the unhurried pace of authentic Puglia. The team passionately shares this still-untouched corner of Italy, among limestone cliffs, shady pine forests and the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic.
From May to September, with a peak in July-August to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic and the sunny Mediterranean climate of Puglia.
The agriturismo offers typical local products from the Puglia region, in the tradition of the Italian farm (agriturismo), promoting short supply chains and local gastronomy.
