Corte Merina is a family-run agritourism located in the heart of the Val Grande National Park, in the Italian Piedmont. Accessible only on foot, this authentic place offers a sustainable tourism experience in the heart of nature, among mountains, forests and hiking trails. Visitors can stay in rooms, a small independent cabin, an agricamping area or glamping tents, while discovering farm life and local traditions.
For over 20 years, Corte Merina has been cultivating authentic mountain farming at the heart of the Parco Nazionale della Val Grande, raising free-range dairy goats and producing raw milk cheeses, vegetables and homemade cured meats. Our commitment is to offer simple, sincere hospitality, rooted in respect for the surrounding wild nature, Piedmontese rural traditions and the passing on of artisanal know-how. We believe that sustainable tourism is above all about forging a deep connection with a place, its landscapes and its people.
From May to October, when the alpine meadows are in bloom, the trails of the Parc National de la Val Grande are accessible and cheese production is at its peak thanks to the summer grazing of the goats.
Corte Merina is itself the main producer: fresh and aged raw goat's milk cheeses (caprins, tommes, ricottas), garden vegetables, eggs, goat and pork meats and charcuterie, all produced and processed on-site in the hamlet of Cicogna.
