In the hamlet of Lintelo, at a landmark location on the corner of two rural roads in the Achterhoek, stands De Oude Zondagschool. This monument from 1924 has been sustainably and circularly renovated into a characterful, comfortable and surprisingly spacious holiday home — with a soul, where you can feel the history. The renovation was carried out circularly using vintage materials, and the house is fully all-electric with a heat pump and energy-neutral. Superfast fibre-optic internet, interactive television via Chromecast and a fast charging station for electric cars are available. The living room is spacious with a comfortable seating area, a long wooden dining table and a luxury kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with five beds in total, plus a third small room with a sixth bed. A luxury bathroom downstairs with a large walk-in shower completes the comfort. Next to the house lies a private forest — a wonderful natural play area for children. Two bicycles are ready for your use. Dogs are welcome. Sandra and Jeroen, also the owners of Paviljoen Esch, will welcome you personally.

Sandra et Jeroen ont restauré cette ancienne école du dimanche de 1924 avec une démarche circulaire et durable, en réemployant des matériaux vintage et en rendant le bâtiment entièrement électrique grâce à des panneaux solaires et une pompe à chaleur. Leur vision : offrir un séjour confortable et authentique dans un monument du patrimoine, en harmonie avec la nature de l'Achterhoek, avec un impact environnemental minimal. Ils accueillent leurs hôtes personnellement et proposent également le Paviljoen Esch, une autre maison de vacances écoresponsable à Aalten.

Best time to visit
Toutes saisons : printemps et été pour le vélo et les randonnées dans le paysage de l'Achterhoek ; automne pour les couleurs de la forêt privée et le calme des chemins de sable ; hiver pour la magie du paysage enneigé et la sérénité de la campagne.

Une vingtaine de vignobles dans l'Achterhoek, dont le Wijngoed De Hennepe avec ses vins de qualité 'Uutbloaz'n' et 'Goodgoan'. À proximité : la distillerie Geuting en Allemagne (whisky et Edelkorn locaux), le Theetuin Rensink (jardin de thé à quelques minutes à pied) et de nombreux producteurs fermiers locaux visibles dans le paysage agricole environnant.
